so the biggest highlights since being back are as follows:
1. alli came to visit me
2. two snow days this week.
1... last thursday i got home from school, walked into the house and saw my best friend and ex-roommate alli sitting on my living room couch. i screamed, embraced her for a good 2 minutes, and sobbed. the weekend was great. she and i spent most the time alone together in my room. we spent nights crying, laughing and being utterly ridiculous. being with her just felt like home. i know i rave about this girl all the time, but seriously, i think she might be one of the greatest gifts i have ever been given.
2... the first storm came in monday, which was MLK day. no school. but i had two meetings that evening. tuesday i had class, a meeting with adriane for our small group, and cooked dinner with my friend claren. everyone hoped both tuesday and wednesday would be cancelled at school for snow days, but no. wednesday i had class till 7pm, then small group till 9pm, then i went to a hip hop class with my two buds paul & aziel. then we spent the evening chatting in paul's room till 3am with 2 other friends, jade & jennifer.
thursday was a snow day, so a bunch of friends came over: paul, aziel, steph f, steph s, christy, jennifer, kristin, brandon, adriane, & devon. aziel and i cooked all day. we had plans to watch tyler perry movies all day, but everyone had so much fun, all we did was sit/talk/laugh/eat together until about 9pm when we put in the first tyler perry movie. we watched another when that was done, then sat/talked/laughed more until 6am when we all piled in my room to sleep. there were 5 girls in my bed, and 3 boys on the floor. it was awesome.

when we woke up this afternoon there was a sliver of my fence showing, which is taller than me. we brewed some coffee and all sat on the living room floor where we enjoyed each other's company until 5pm. we watched a movie but mostly talked/laughed the day away. finally at 5pm we decided it was time to eat. so the girls walked (boys drove) down to a mexican place to get some grub. then we walked to steph f's house. we drank more coffee, watched more movies, and talk/laughed more. i just got home at 3 am.
the reason why i love the snow, is that it makes everything slow down. there is NOTHING to do besides enjoy friends, and relax. i am normally so busy with classes, work, meetings but this week was packed with nothing but peace, calm, relaxation, and friends.
tomorrow i intend on catching up on sleep, reading for leisure, reading for class, and cleaning.
